What do you think it's worth?

Hi,
I'm thinking of selling my road bike.
I'm getting a bit to old nowadays to be riding a road bike with my aching joints on an aggressive frame,but once sold it will be new bike day,but it will be something a little less aggressive to suit me to bimble down to country lanes.
I don't dabble in the buying and selling of bikes and I'm somewhat clueless as to what I should sell my bike for.
It's a Specialized Allez elite E5.
It's a medium frame but it suited me perfectly fine at me being just under 6ft.
The frame is spotless with no scratches/chips and still looks very shiny in its red paint.
Its got tiagra gears.
The down side is that it has odd wheels on it,Fulcrum on the front and Shimano on the rear..
They look very similar painted in black and never it bothered me.
It's been used a hell of a lot over the years, but its still in excellent condition.
What are they worth around nowadays .
I was thinking around the £175 .

Seems a little low to me if in genuinely great condition. I've done an ebay search (if you use advanced search you can look for sold items), seems that the price for sold ones varies between £150 and £270. Maybe have a look and see where yours fits.

I was thinking I may be under valuing it at £175 but there again if I take in consideration it has odd wheels and my location is here in Wales (bikes seem to sell for more in places like London) could £175 sound about right.

If you have the room to store it, as well as a new one, I would keep it as backup or for use as a winter steed.

The only real aspect that makes an aggressive bike, is having an aggressive position. You can do an awful lot by changing stems, bars etc to give a more relaxed position.

What year is it, whereabouts in Wales are you and can you post some photos, please? You have piqued my interest

Not a market I'm familiar with but given the state of the bike market as a whole, the part lower-end road bikes play in this and the apparently modest spec suggested by the groupset I'd expect ballpark £200 isn't unrealistic.

Age / how outdated the design looks compared to modern bikes will also play a large part in defining the value.

An ebay search of completed listings is usually good for ascertaining prices; although bear in mind you'll likely realise less if selling on other platforms.
