Hi there ladies. I am hoping that you'll be able to pass on some advice about kit you got on well with when cycling whilst pregnant, specifically cycling shorts. I have already outgrown all of my shorts, both waist and frustratingly thighs too (whoa have my thighs expanded!!). Looking to get some replacement shorts and wondering if I should go for bibs - never done so before as always seem too much faff if needing the loo!! - or simply get shorts with wide waist bands in the largest size made? Also, because my thighs are pretty large now, any suggestions of shorts without tight rubber grippers would be well received.
Thank you for reading, and hopefully replying!!! I'm off to try on husband's bib shorts....

Sorry I can't help since I didn't return to cycling until after little children. How many months have you got to go? I must admit I'm fine cycling in leggings (which is what I basically wore when pregnant 20 years ago!). Fron the point of reducing expense for some limited life clothing would leggings work?

As a woman, I thought that I ought to reply. Solidarity and all that. I don't have a clue though. When I was pregnant, I just wore bigger jodhpurs and rode a bit slower. I didn't ride my bike quite so much in those days.

Are there no drawstring type padded shorts that you can let out as you grow?
Congratulations BTW

(edited for appalling grammar. Still not totally sure though)

Hi Summerdays. I have 5 months to go, plus summer holiday plans that involves cycling! I was meaning more padded cycling shorts (that I wear under outers) for longer rides, so leggings wont offer much comfort. Thanks for the suggestion though. Still hunting....!

this is depressing ... http://www.minx-girl.com/collection/maternity/12/0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0/1 (no items)

though there are some under plus size, maybe some use for you? http://www.minx-girl.com/collection/plussize/4/0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0/1

to the first link:
Ha ha....indeed, how depressing! Us ladies need to get pregnant and start a maternity cycle clothing revolution. Who's in? You are, aren't you jefmcg? (eek!)
to the second:
I think this is the route I may have to take. Thanking you for the link....

Perhaps give Corinne Dennis a call, reckon she'll help if she can

Corinne Dennis was going to be my suggestion. My 3/4s from there survived, wearably, me losing and then gaining a shedload of weight. Waistbands and cuffs good and stretchy. Worth having a look to see if anything suits, I reckon.

I did the obligatory Google search before I posted - lots of dead ends..., lots of general info as well so spent far too long mooching other stuff re cycling and pregnancy. Thank you for the link.
Sorry, many people don't bother searching before asking, my bad.

Been thinking and it might be worth contacting Josie Dew - no idea if she'd get back to you but she's had three kids now and kept cycling through all three pregnancies.
