Ok, I'll spell this out clearly.

Very important race tomorrow, one directly linked with the uni, so I put in a big wash with all my race kit, which is not cheap.

Washing machine freezes with 3 minutes to go, I switch off the mains and turn it back on, nothing. Machine still spinning so I leave it switched off at the mains, otherwise clothes may shrink (already had 25 mins extra spinning than it should have done).

Now the big issue, the door lock will not release, so my clothes are stuck.

Nobody on campus has a key, only company Circuitgroup (I've deliberately chosen to name and shame them) can do anything about it.

Circuitgroup say head office will deal with it on money - that is all they say, I ask for an email to which the response is "there isn't one", and the guy on the phone is just down right unhelpful and rude.

So my clothes are now stuck there, left to go mouldy...the website claims "Complete accountability for every machine" so I am wondering what there is I can do to maximise my chances of compensation.

Please advise (before I head down there with a crowbar)

Head down with crowbar and get your kit out. I am serious. That is what I would do.

called that, and will send them and email shortly.

The problem is if I get caught breaking the machine, that's criminal damage, something the uni has zero tolerence for

To possibly prevent incrimination, legal or otherwise, I am not going to comment on any actions that I took....but the problem is now resolved
