Am I the only one imagining some highly dangerous contraption powered by one of his homemade pulse jet engines.

edit: I should probably have said "dangerous looking" rather than "dangerous" as I'm sure he was highly capable in such matters. Sadly I never met him, but I still feel I knew him as a kindred spirit.

Hairy Berry was watching the men's baking group bake pies in these a few weeks ago on some random TV programme with the Hairy Fellers. Seemed to go okay, and the results met with her approval, I recall.
There's a social enterprise in Newcastle called Food Nation. They run a men's pie club and according to the photos on their social media they use that sort of pie maker very successfully.

This one claims to make pies which are 7cm deep.

Thanks. The one I mentioned in post #12 has the same depth and is just £28.99 so I reckon that’s what I’ll go for.
