Aero bar recommendations?

Looking to fit aero bars (tri bars) on my audax bike to give me an alternative hand position for the really long stuff as my hands get a bit numb over 400km.
Need comfort more than best aerodynamics - experiments with an old set (that won't fit my audax bike) suggest I need the elbow pads quite wide apart.
And of course, I don't want to spend a whole lot.
What would you recommend?

Why not simply try pedalling 399km - hands and wallet will both be in good order.
