Completely hypothetical, not going to actually do this but-
On the seat stays of my frame I have points to attach a rack, I don't use them, so I have just left in the little black pieces of plastic stoppers.

Now with a sportive coming up I was looking around to save some weight (take my lock etc. out my saddle bag) and thought about them, although of course my frame wouldn't be as slippy as it would have 2 x 5mm holes in it.
Which would be the better benefit? A fraction lighter or nice and smooth with the plastic stoppers?
(I'm not actually going to do this- they're staying in for aesthetics!)

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I doubt that the weight /aero saving your gaining from taking a couple of bolts out in the mucky air behind a riders body is even going to be measurable to make it worth the effort .

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
I can't understand why anyone would buy these - nylon bolts/set screws have been available for decades, or you could always just pop some silicon bath sealer in the holes...

- me neither . I don't think I'd invest my life savings in the company .
