Another atheist here, once the lights go out thats it, there's nothing else.
People would still work but it wouldn't be a pain any longer and God would provide what is lacking. It may not make sense or seem rational but I believe it by faith. It's probably all changed since the good old days though. You'll be lucky to get a minimum wage job in an eternal call-centre, working for minimum wage so that you can struggle to pay for the food and heating. Or are all these things supplied FOC? If so, who works to supply them? Who fixes the roads for us to cycle on? Who builds the bikes? So many questions........
You mean it will go to Hell?My personal belief is that threads like these eventually die and get resurrected in SC&P.![]()
Possibly depends on which part of the world you live...which doesn't appear to have been traumatic or scary
Ditto.I'm a Christian so I believe that there is an eternal afterlife called heaven waiting for those who believe in Jesus. I don't want to disparage what anyone else believes though. Not trying to preach to anyone either so be kind.Interesting topic.
Apparently one of WC Fields's friends was surprised to visit him in his final days and find him, a lifelong and very vocal atheist, reading the Bible. On being challenged, he said (WC Fields accent here): "I'm lookin' for a loophole."No afterlife. i do find it strange that a few old people i know have turned to god in there later years. Why.
I'm a hardcore atheist. I believe the mind and soul are just electro impulses in the brain organ. When the brain dies it's like a candel flame been blown out for eternity. Although I believe infinity within the universe there's a chance that somewhere else we could live our lives all over again in a parallel universe.
Who thinks there's some kind of afterlife?
We are all people of "faith"...
Indeed, though it was of little help to George Michael.
