Just got back after a week in Nothumberland, round the Rothbury area, only one 1/2 decent ride but took SWMBO on motor ride and discovered a route I must cycle. It goes over a by- road past Winter's Gibbet, down in to Elsdon and back round to Rothbury, views were great, roads were almost traffic free and straight with some good climbs.
When I was union rep and health & safety officer(when we used a bit of common and not p.c) I got called most things and most were unprintable even on these pages. So I take any thing that is said as a compliment and I have just ordered a new flag for my flag post, (I fly each of the United Kingdoms flags on the Saint's days) Yellow Cross with a Black background and two walking figures in the middle. When I finish the Haltwhistle Hub next year I will get another one with a cyclist on it.
