No great surprise as he was very ill and lived a very poor life. Probably to be expected when a street urchin gains unimaginable wealth and fame.

I’m sure our Scottish friends found his “goal” very amusing, but it somewhat overshadowed his other goal which was world class.
How the ref thought a tiny man had out jumped Shilton is staggering.

Sad to hear that. Utterly brilliant. One of the best ever, and a case can be made for him being the GOAT.

I'd recommend Asif Kapadia's documentary about him which came out last year and really highlighted for me what extraordinary pressure he was under compared to modern more protected footballers.
