I`ve been a member of Facebook for about 7/8 years now, and tonight I binned it. I don`t find it useful at all and am glad to have my privacy back, with nobody sticking their noses into my life. Feels so good!

Twitter and FB are good for getting info, I like or follow bands and comedians I want to see, best way to get a heads up on when they are performing before tickets go on sale.

I've found Faceboke pretty vital for communication with some groups I've cycled with. Its refreshing though that another doesn't entertain it, although they do use social media of a sort, Google groups, email, text and phone.

my son is in america working on a camp for the summer and its the only way we keep in touch with him , other than that i don't use it much at all

I ditched it a few months back, not that I used it that much. I was fed up getting friend's requests from friends of friends I'd never heard of and would never meet or want to meet and who probably wouldn't want to meet me either. I think some people just like to boast about how many "Friends" they have, rather sad really.

well done i hate facebook and i think its sad that so many people have nothing better to do than post rubbish or worse still read all the rubbish.

i must admit though i do still have a facebook account but i dont post on it or anything i only keep it to keep in contact with my kids in england we just use the chat feature and thats it
