I fell down the stairs the other day while wearing only my boxers. Clearly the Calvin's saved my life, a now indisputable fact.

Taking this a step further, if you'd fallen down whilst naked (no pictures needed) then some form of divine intervention would have saved your life, so you'd have proved the existence of God. So that's one for the atheists to ponder.

Doubtless in that scenario my huge space hoppers would cushion my fall.

This argument is populated by statisticians on the "no" side, and people who have had their lives saved by wearing a helmet on the "yes" side.

I hope James Cracknell is going to come out against this. It would have been no use at all in the accident that made him an evangelist.

(reports of "degloving" by airbags makes this worrying. I'd be very reluctant to test it not in an accident.

of course you could take it one step further and attach the inflation device to your lycra then you have a full body airbag.
(saw a guy in team sky the other day - I reckon his had inflated)
