Great looking machine, it is just a shame it doesn't have pedal drive too as the 30km range is rather limiting. Though I do understand that it is marketed as a city commuter and not a leisure bike.

Why is it that when a new variation on the bicycle is invented, it so often looks incredibly ugly?

For a small folder I think it looks quite decent. Remember it is mainly aimed at people who do not aspire to ride a Colnago up the Galibier, but want quick and cheap way of getting round town.

I'd call that an electric moped which will probably need type approval and thus will be very expensive

Funky looking, but it's not a bike is it, so can't be used on cycle paths etc. And there are much better electric scooters out there...

In the UK, it will be classified as a moped and require approval, registration, MOT, tax (albeit free) and insurance.

Well, yes. I was just making the point (that has been made before and since) that neither of these "bikes" belong in General Cycling Discussions.

Went for a superbike as it's go-big-or-go-home.

Ohhhhhhh no this is the reason i need an e bike after having a serious accident in the 70s.
To be fair i did ride em like i stole em.
