This may sound silly, but if you have presta valves, are you undoing the little locknut on top of the valve stem? This releases the valve itself.Hi. Purchased a carerra e road bike crossover. For the love of money I can not put air in the tyres. Pump I have is a Halfords advanced pump with gauge but how do you put air in?... have to squat anything ?. Help thank you

Also, have you changed the innards of the pump to the correct bits for Presta. If you unscrew the nossell, the bit in the middle will come out and you can turn it around for the other fitting.
