I have lots of hair, gets a bit tangled up if I have to brush it out of the way if it’s windy say (Clearly not an issue you have if that’s you in the avatar )
Worse still with a mask on
Is that ear hair? I thought I had a problem with hairy ears but it seems I am a mere amateur in that department.

I use aftershockz when on the turbo trainer and think they are great. Not sure about using them while out on the road yet

I ride with a Bavarian oom-pa band on a low loader behind me. Accy only rides with a wind up gramophone in a trailer playing George Formby.

For those of you who have AirPods and cycle, do you use AirPods when cycling?... I am just wondering if I am likely to lose them?? Is there a better alternative?
You see plenty jogging with AirPods so assume you wouldn't lose them cycling.

If I want to listen to some music I use an old iPod shuffle, it clips neatly onto my jersey and I use the left earphone only. Note sure they are available from Apple but a quick search showed they can still be obtain via eBay and Amazon etc

Have a nice ride.
Listening to your surrounding environment is a better alternative.
Most of the time I DO prefer just taking in the sounds around me, especially when riding out in nature. But there are times that I’d just like to be like a kid again and ride while listening to fun music, like the days of old with a Sony Walkman. I have found a solution that is also nude-ear friendly. This little IP67 waterproof certified bike speaker (Tribit StormBox, bought on Amazon) has great quality sound, both treble & bass, that plays crisp outside. And no more than 1/4 volume outside is plenty. Even in our small apartment I wouldn't feel comfortable turning it up 1/2 way. Great new technology. Straps to the handlebars. Waterproof, USB rechargeable, at least 5-6 hours of playtime before needing to charge, maybe moreJust another option for going “non-buds.” Here it is on my Trek...

For those that don’t like to listen to music while riding, or like using buds on low volume, I understand. To each his own, let’s just all be safe. I grew up riding in NYC, I Would no sooner ride with buds than I would with a blindfold, but that's just me. Then again, I pull the keys, lock all car doors and roll up the windows even when popping into a convenience store when my vehicle is in plain sight. So I have issues.

I use beats that hook around your ear. Much prefer cycling with music on when solo, I only wear the left and can hear traffic fine and they help block some wind noise
