Alberts firstcride with pedals

When my great nephew, Albert, was one week old. I bought him a balance bike. This week he was 3 years old and we bought him his first bike with pedals.

This was his maiden ride after pedals were explained to him. The use of brakes was explained but needs some work 😄

We were shocked how he took to it like a duck to water.

I recall when I first learnt to ride, probably at nearly twice little Albert's age, mind, that I hit a kerb and went head first into a ditch full of stinging nettles taller than me. I tingled for days!

As an aside, or was that the aside (?) I saw a great balance bike a while back that could have pedals added to it at a later date and had a convertible frame with two sizes. Not cheap but should last a few years.
