This is all going a bit "P&L"!.....

I'd certainly lump them in with the Arctic Monkeys (*who I like lots, but who said I had to be consistant) and the White Stripes. Who care's where they're from!

Indy-Lite.

Arctic Monekys, White Stripes and the Strokes all managed to be original, something you could never accuse Coldplay or Keane of!

6 SCISSOR SISTERS – SCISSOR SISTERS: 2,686,705 I like, but would have been more impressive had Elton john never existed
7 A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD – COLDPLAY: 2,638,927 Sorry but I like this too
8 HOPES AND FEARS – Keane: 2,627,253 Yep and this. I won't be swayed by the crtitics. Flame away
9 X&Y – COLDPLAY: 2,473,433 Dull
10 BACK TO BLACK – AMY WINEHOUSE: 2,467,575 Very much like AW I think she's the genuine article but only found myself listening to this three times.

Amazingly, one poster came back praising some of my choices.

A mate of mine reckons he saw them practice in a scout hut in the Walcot east (might have been west but it's a few years back) side and they were trying to do the intro to a cover of 'Fridge Magnet' and they took about twelve goes to get it right.
