Aldi and Credit cards

Sorry if anyone has beaten me to it in telling you all this....

But from the middle of October (I forget the exact date) ALDI will take Credit cards in all their English shops (Ireland, Scotland and some in Wales have taken them for a while and Lidl started taking them earlier this year)

Now I'm not a massive credit card user I use them for Unexpected Emergency expenditure and the odd bargain that won't be there on pay day..... No massive horrible balances..... But sometimes the Aldi bargains come just at the wrong time and I can't justify spending the money at that exact moment. So I just thought I would pass on this info ready for the next (whenever it is....) Cycle sale

Thanks for the heads-up.......I've got a Barclaycard with a £1 squillion credit limit (not sure why) but I hardly ever use it - 1966, was the last time I think.

Very rare I use mine.... but if they had excepted them at the last 'sale' I would now own I bike maintenance stand......

Edit: My bank kept raising my limit on a card with zero balance, when it got to £13K and I rang them and reduced it to £500.... They were amazed I wanted to drop it so low.... and couldn't understand the concept that if I was stupid enough to use the whole limit Mrs V (quite rightly) would've thrown me out!!!!!

Nice to know,
Mine gets used occasionally as it's interest free- e.g. I put my car tax (hehe) on it and pay off £20 a month and before I know it it's gone and not cost me a massive £100 lump sum- just have to be careful.

I endured a 1hr traffic jam just to goto Aldi on Saturday, to get some of their cycling arm warmers. They were £8 and were fantastic!

There's cycling stuff in there now.
I liked the look of the double bike storage stands.

They refused a debit card I have too. I have a PayPal branded MasterCard which is purely for spending my balance of received money and does not let me spend more.
