Even the bigger cycling tool kit is quite good, I use it quite often. The lights also work well. Being in the States, we don't get nearly as much as you do, but it's still a decent place to find things like that, most often in the Spring.

I bought some ALDI cycling kit when I started cycling "to see if I am going to like this cycling thing and I will upgrade if I decide cycling is for me". :okay:

That was 6-7 years ago - and much of it hasn't worn out yet ! I've got better ss/ls tops and a few other bits but still use the windproof jacket and, although some of it is a bit 'boil-in-the-bag', it's very good for why it was bought and the quality has improved significantly since then ... as have the prices but they are still winners ! :thumbsup:
 
Went into Eccles Aldi and they had GT85 for 69 earth pence and them Bikeworks panniers a Lady Godiva each,RESULT! Hurrah for indolent filthy Mancs.
