Yes, that would be why. As soon as I saw your explanation I remembered where I had seen it; Sideways Cycles. Not an entirely helpful suggestion after all, I'm afraid :|

I found the most useful thing to look at when in the market for a new bike is to check the geometry. This is the main reason why i chose an On-One over the Day One, for instance (oh, and also because I could get 11 speed on the On-One). Stick some decent tyres on (I have Continental Touring 32mm) and you can ride the Pomp over any terrain (I have a mixture of terrain on my commute). It would have been a tough call if the Day One geometry matched...but the 11 speed would have won over still I reckon.
