I was going round the corner and a kid (around 9 or 10) just walks out, didn't even look. I slam on my brakes and my back wheel locks up but I somehow manage to keep the bike upright as well as managing to stop just a few centimetres from him (it was raining at this point, lucky I didn't fall). Then this boy turns around and just glares at me and then walks off. Felt like saying something but it was pretty busy, not the wisest idea.
Later on, I see the same boy in a chip shop while I'm cycling by and he gives me the exact same look.
If I was a bus, he wouldn't be here any more.
