It's a bit more complicated than that...
I'd like to present a route from Yeovil to New Zealand (ZEE-land), but google won't let me.

So instead we'll go to ZEDelgem in 320 miles

Zennor or Zelah both in Cornwall would have been closer !
But that of course would have meant using the American pronunciation, "Zee"

Maybe Kubla Khan decreed it when he was on holiday with his Mum and Dad in Cornwall?

He got fairly close, the armies were at Vienna and Krakow and had he not died when he did (forcing the commanders to return back to Karakorum) they intended on joining together at Paris before moving on Normandy together.
(The Normans being the hardest fighters in the western world at the time)

Britain and Spain would have been next

inque Ports Pub to Dungeness
6 miles

Which sets us up very nicely for one of the high points (actually at sea level) of the trip so far, The Old lighthouse at Dungeness, which as we all know was not only the home of Derek Jarman but also the also desert in Northern Europe

Feeling like I need to stretch my legs a bit. Also, we don't want to miss out on any of Kent's beauty, so I'm mindful that we need to go to Each End of it
(36.1 miles, or coastal-ish at 37.5)
