Cheers @Cyclist33, but I do really fancy a road bike. This will be my first one and I feel I want to take the plunge. Plus my London commute is well set up for road biking.
I had basically settled for the Triban 5, but emailed my nearest Decathlon and they didn't have my size. Unhelpfully they told me to try back in 2 weeks and check again. Not what I want to hear when the summer is ticking away and I've got a £500 voucher burning a hole in my pocket!
When looking what else they might have I noticed the Triban 500 - http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-500-road-bike-id_8306944.html. It's slightly more expensive than the 5, with very similar specs. Is this just a refresh of the 5?
