Whilst washing and polishing the bikes today I got thinking, do aero bikes exist but with aluminium frames? If so which ones?

The above link ended up me forwarding onto other links and then I saw this....

This is the sort I was wandering if it existed. I love the slender lines and brisk pace of the Propel, having that in aluminium as my first/daily bike would be great.

Now, I'll see if I can get this Specialized aero thing added to my collection this year or replacing my Trek.

Many people of working age (like the OP) who ride a bike daily do so for commuting for which panniers are very helpful.
Sticking a loaded backpack on your body pretty much negates any aero advantage a bike is purported to offer (obviously not as much as sticking an unaerodynamic human being on a bike does...which is why the idea of an aero bike seems pretty ridiculous to me )

Pointless for you as you ride slowly.

Anyhow if the OP isn’t going to use the bike in a different way to the Propel what’s the point in having a bike that’s the same other than being aluminium. Carbon won’t disintegrate in the rain ;) and parts will be cheaper than another depreciating bike
