Never driven a bus but I'd imagine that getting past one or several cyclists is a big source of stress for bus drivers in congested urban streets especially when they are under pressure to keep to a timetable. The vast majority of passes are safe, I'm sure, but a few bad ones are bound to happen.

Easy for me to write that though since we never see buses on our rides in Ribble Valley and Bowland.

50/50 for me. It was not a good overtake and less than space advised to leave but wasn't something I would call overly close.

Not the best pass I've ever seen, but certainly not the worst.
As MJR says, send to the bus company asking that their drivers show a bit more consideration for vulnerable road users. I doubt the police will give a hoot but it might be worth telling them too.
Police vary wildly by region at the moment. Some are getting serious on close passes... and then there's Cambridgeshire

You could try @Cunobelin's tactic on the bus company: email with the registration number, time, date, route and place and complain, then if the driver tries to deny it, send the footage and the driver gets done for lying to managers if not for the close pass.

I'm aware that many of us will have suffered worse overtakes, possibly even frequently, but that doesn't excuse this shoot.

The picture at the start of the thread looks a lot worse than the video. Personally I would of said it was a little close to make me curse under my breath, but I don't think its bad enough to take action. If he had came past at high speed I think that would of shaken me up though.

I'm just a little ... let's keep it polite ... "concerned" at the number of "looks-fine-by-me" posts.

With all respect - it really doesn't matter how many of the macho among us have been "institionalised" by years and years of horribly close passes (aye, and granted - many much closer than the bus in the OP).

Bottom line - does the guy's driving match the expectations of his employers, his trainers, or the guy who gave him his PSV licence? IMHO - nope. No way. Not ever.
