Where near Norwich are you? I am just outside Wymondham and would love to ride with someone. Its only a half an hour ride (or so) into Norwich for me. Hubby seems to have lost the bug at the moment Drop me a pm

Tell hubby one of your girlfriends is ill and you have to be there for her then get yourself off to Majorca on a training camp, come back and whup them both. Just a suggestion .

without reading three pages... surely on a friendly group ride, where the idea is 'riding together', the slowest rider should set the pace.

You'll soon improve and quicker than you might imagine. I was surprised how quick I made progress after just a few rides. Just enjoy it.
