Am I retro yet?

Having a chat with the guys at work the other day, all about the same age as me (51) give or take a couple of years - about 'old fashioned' things.

Was later reading something on t'internet about 'retro' cycling stuff like fixed wheel bikes etc and this just made me wonder when or what makes something transform from being unfashionably old to stylishly retro.

When will I qualify as being a desirable retro kind of guy, having to break so many ladies hearts because I'm married?

It probably happens already , it's just that being committed to your present (possibly long standing) relationship you just don't pick up the signs.

Old? 'fraid not - according to my Dad, I'm still a youth...but then, any bloke more than 3 years younger than him (he's nearly 94) is called a 'youth'!

All my bikes are steel and have triple chain-sets, should I trade in the STIs for 7 speed down tube shifters?
