Hi all

Just got to tell you about my ride today. I am Buzzing!
In May I shall be riding 320 miles for a self funded charity ride from London to Paris. I then got into the ballot for Ride 100, so this is going to be a big year of cycling

The weather today in Essex was amazing so I went out with a good mate of mine for a 101 mile ride around the beautiful Essex countryside. http://www.strava.com/activities/125960684

Had an absolutely amazing day, complete with wall to wall sunshine, light winds, a pub lunch and now some sunburn

Not even the idiot on Southend seafront who rode straight at me on the cycle path could spoil it

This was one of those days that you dream about when you buy a bike, and after riding in wind, hail, rain and frost all winter, I felt like I deserved today!

Congrats on the ton. Our routes almost overlapped. I headed off down to Maldon, via Wickham Bishops and the Tothams. 47 miles of pure cycling heaven.......warm, still, dry, and hardly a car. People who don't know Essex think it is all like Ilford, Basildon, & TOWIE....whereas the countryside is gorgeous, and the lanes are great for cycling.
