Looks at the route and it's avoiding the more remote parts of the world.
Is this attempt registered with Guinness? It looks like their route is chosen to comply with GWR rules, but I don't see the G-word anywhere in Amy's soshuls ...
Maybe doesn't want "helmet hair" images on on her social mediaThe big question ? Will she ever take her helmet off ?
It probably more about the social media than any Guiness recognition - you don't even get a free pint if you break a record and they make you stick to all the rules and prove what you've done...Bit pointless if not registered ?

To be fair, all the pictures in casual clothes on https://www.followmychallenge.com/l...49.189485&lng=-0.178662&z=9.55&b=0&p=0#social are helmet-free :P
They have sponsorship from CAMS, Pinarello, Santini, and Rouvy, amongst others.I suppose the route works out well. Without doing the you tube, how are they covering the hotel costs etc etc. A summary would be useful for us non-followers.
The route they're using is largely the one designed by Lael Wilcox. It avoids the vast bulk of Asia in favour of North America, for reasons of assorted areas of 'unrest'. That's obviously unfortunate from an aesthetic point of view, but within the Guinness rules. It does mean that nearly half the route involves the risk of being mown down by North Americans or eaten by bears. And another 20% exposes them to Australian drivers :-\ Everyone doing this seems to feel compelled to cycle across Australia though.
Jenny Graham's circumnavigation wins for me as being 'most impressive' (124 days, solo, unsupported).
