Back on the topic of Amy, I wonder exactly what her NHS finance role was. Like what her day-to-day job entailed.

I think it was an accounts clerk type role.

Some of their cycling videos popped up on YouTube as I watch GCN and some other cycling content there.
She is very irritating. I'm sure she's a lovely person etc but not to my taste.

I assume there must be some sort of manual somewhere on how to be a YouTuber that says that it is vital to have certain catchphrases or other things that you always say or do as they all seem to have that without fail.

It’s where the best accountants start when working in industry often a launchpad into accounts assistant and then management or financial accountant before becoming a controller or director.
Gives you a real grounding and appreciation of how many invoices a company processes per day to keep the business running. Suppliers soon cut you dry if they don’t get paid!

I know, I am one - Finance Business Partner, been Finance Director and Financial Controller, the lot. Now counting down to retirement. It's not for everyone though !

General broadcasting advice, a catchphrase or presenting stylemakes people remember whoever.
At least theres no AI in their videos, something which is getting out of control on YouTube with a number of fictional ones being passed off as fact. AI is fine to replicate past events which have no film in existance
but anything else ought to be clearly labelled as AI fiction.

I just admire the fact she has found a way to support herself through cycling. From that base she is raising money for small charities doing important mental health work. I may be wrong but i think she has more found herself in this role rather than planned a route to get there. She’s also a very good endurance cyclist. The supported Tour de France trip was phenomenal. This round the world takes the endurance to a new level and will test their resolve.

I think it is the lack of decent length videos after each day. The reason for the lack is obvious. Hard to engage with a 1 min video that basically says it is hot and had another puncture.

Might just have been the heat and seeing a different way of going that had shadier streets?
