Oh, an possibly the most slushies consumed too ! You can get away with eating crap at their age, and the crazy distances cycled.

During exercise it will be taken up as fast as possible by the muscles. Danger id eating crap when you have finished for the day.

Sh!t so it should be pizza, fries and red wine pre ride rather than post ride.👿

Going back to this. I think it was Mike Moseley who did the following experiment, in one of his health programs. You ate some food. Then either you went for a 20 min walk and they then took blood. Alternate you had the same food, sat for the equivalent time, then they took the blood. They then put each sample in a centrifuge. The result was quite stark between the murky fat filled blood if you sat, and the much clearer blood if you exercised. The muscles taking up the fat for fuel from the blood.

Going for a walk, even for only 20 mins, after you have eaten is good for you. The post prandial walk.

Just noticed that the Leaderboard on their tracking page has a column for distance to finish. Based on that and their daily average, I would estimate 23.5 days to cover the distance. Call it another 23 days, as they are currently riding today. Add couple of days for flight logistics to Europe. Let us call it 25 days to go. Thus maybe a finish around 7th September, a little under 130 days.

Which is a long way ahead of schedule for their aim of 150 days.

Still room for things to go wrong. But anything of this undertaking, difficult to know exactly how things will hold up and what problems may be encountered. The 150 days is roughly 201km a day average. Best to be more conservative, and beat expectation.
