Anybody planning on seeing them past or riding with them as they near home? Their planned route comes quite near me.

I will if I can - given they're so very close (about 2 miles) it'd be rude not to, albeit they were even closer outbound at about .75 mile.

Mind you, now I think about it, perhaps it might be smart to catch them South of Bicester, lest they don't make it through 🤭

Amazing! I’m completely in awe of what they have achieved so far. Other than the punctures and heat they have had a remarkably clear run so far, let’s hope it continues through Europe. For context not comparison, Mark Beaumont did his unsupported ride he had 192 days and the record was 124. Lael Wilcox did a similar route to A and K in 79 days.

BTW I'm thinking the Trigger Pond pub might be just ideal for the purpose, assuming they get their timings anyway near correct ^_^

I think the hardest bit is likely keeping their heads in the game. The physical side you can adjust to. But being able to just get on the road each morning, deal with what comes, and get on with it, is key. The videos are indicating she is in a good place. We do not hear from Kyle so much, but he has already seemed more the just get on with it sort, without any wild swings into positivity or negativity, just steady.

The thought had occurred when I posted the other day - I think the most hazardous part may be the run to home, when you relax, thinking 'job done'. I'm sure each is smart enough to keep the other alert.

That is similar to mountaineering after summiting. In some ways the descent is the most dangerous time. You need to keep your focus. It aint over, till it‘s over.

I wonder if as part of the challenge, they’ve agreed to keep Carls airtime to a minimum as it was Amy who struggled with her mental health so is the “face” of the challenge plus it’s likely that there is just the two of them most of the time and one needs to hold the camera.

I’ve noticed Carl hasn’t appeared in many of the clips, or where he does it tends to be a side/rear view rather than an active engagement with the camera so I hope that he’s doing ok, not suffering physically, mentally and emotionally too much
