Good point. And a lot less than Amy's original, 150 days target, which sounded quite ambitious at the time.

Beats everyone except Lael Wilcox and Mark Beaumont.
Different category of course as they were able to draft each other to some extent.
Just noticed there was an Andrew Nicholson that did 123 days and 1 hour in 2015, so he was 22 hours faster. Don't remember hearing about him.

Not to forget Jenny Grahams solo record was 124 days, 10 hours, and 50 minutes, it looks like Amy and Kyle's record is 123 d 23 h 24 m, so beating Jenny by just 11 hours, which is remarkable.

Though looking at distance, Jenny completed 29656 km and Amy and Kyle completed 112 km less at 29544 km.

Whichever way to what to look at it though these are incredible achievements and amazing to see how close these records are.

Solo and unsupported (as Jenny Graham was), then somewhat so. Solo and fully supported (as Mark Beaumont was), not so much, since they were also unsupported.

I think both achievements are remarkable in their own way and I really don't think we should hold one record up as being more impressive than the other.

Solo and unsupported = somewhat more than somewhat. Perhaps 'by a country mile' might be a more colourful phrase than my 'by some distance' - it takes a particular psyche to pound out those endless miles and hours, day after day on one's own IMHO.

Which, for the record, is not intended to diminish Amy & Kyle's remarkable achievement I hope they get some recognition more broadly, I don't think I've seen any mention of their journey outside these pages yet.

Kyle has suspected broken collar bone from when he came off in Canada 😲
They went to a&e today but 7.5 hour wait so going back tomorrow, guess one more day won't hurt (or probably will actually).

Kyle doesn't seem to want to be in the limelight, tbh I dont blame him. Would have thought his collar bone should have started healing by now even with the abuse he's given it. I think what they achieved is tremendous, especially given the distances involved. They have been extremely lucky with the weather and wild fires etc, unlike Lael Wilcox who copped for the lot pretty much and she was supported.

Magnificent effort that they have executed so smoothly.

And all for a good cause.

As of now, they have raised £58,753 + £8,763 gift aid = £67,516, which is great.

I am surprised that is from only 1,524 donations - I was expecting more people to have put their hand in their pocket tbh.
