That was a phenomenal ride. 29 days at those mileages is awesome but then throw in the Pyrenees and Alps. The logistics were almost as impressive as the riding, getting her around France with food and accommodation is no easy feat. She didn’t even have any mechanicals!

Very impressive. Hope she raised a great sum for her chosen charities

£66,500 plus gift aid at the moment!

Been ignoring the thread until i'd watched the last day on youtube.

Wow, a An absolutely stunning achievement, and i love the videos being so comprehensive; warts (or I should say blisters) and all. And it's the same pattern as her other vids - at first glance, Amy seems endlessly optimistic/enthusiastic, but then you see the tears too: It makes for better viewing, feels like each video takes me along for the journey too.

I didn't think she'd manage it without more rest days, or even a break. Am happy she proved me wrong. Awesome.

This will be interesting. Personally think maybe going to far straight off. I mean TDF route this year then around the world next year, whereabouts do you go after that. Certainly wish them luck.

They are following the current record holders route which to me is not around the world as it misses much of Asia.

I see it as more of riding 18k in a year, only 6k more than she does currently but travelling while doing it.

I’d have preferred if it was like Josh Kohlers ride around the world with his dad (check out his YouTube) which is going country by country and will take months, more of an adventure then an 18000 mile challenge, but interestingly will qualify as a world record as no other father and son have submitted the ride to Guiness.
