I sold my trusty Dawes Galaxy last year.It went to the smoke well i got a lovely mail from the chap who bought it.He is having some great long rides out on it.And he thinks it's a great bike.it was nice of him to let me know.Great bloke.

That's really good. As soft as it sounds, I know from selling one of my bikes, my main concern was that it went to a good home, so to get a message saying it was valued must feel pretty good

That's nice of him....I must say I've always been reluctant to sell any of my bikes. You never quite know what type of owner they will get. :-)

I am two bikes lighter this year.

One of them was gifted to a local garage mechanic who has enjoyed the transformation that a lightweight hybrid has brought to his commutes to work and back home. it will be well maintained.

The other was sold to a friend to get him started with cycle touring. He's getting the miles in and has committed himself to a summer tour with me along the Danube. He'll pay to have it maintained at an LBS.

I just have to bide my time before I replenish stocks.......
