Bored... thought..... I'd shove the el cheapo MD80 cam on the back of my bike - removed the Mars 3.0.... the cam clips in well to the Mars 3 mount . Used an elastic band to ensure it didn't pop off on the crap roads.......

Then.........

Cyclist don't always jump red lights..... the thing that got me was how close the driver passed my ar$e....... I won't be pointing my cam that way again..... I didn't spot this until reviewing the video........

Later on, near home, where most cyclists fail to ride where they need to... i.e.don't ride in the gutter.....good secondary or primary in this 100 yards of road - you can see why, one huge pot hole and.....the lanes were quiet in this instance, so increases the 'overtake risk.....' slow start on my point as I hadn't clipped in for about 3 seconds......

Nice ride home though, I'd not felt at risk, but it's something new cyclists should think about....

Well impressed with my bodge - not too keen on seeing what happens behind again though......... this is a one off............ bored Friday afternoon.

I did like how the cars behind (numberplates etc), despite daylight, did light up red with the RSP Astrum on constant, and the Mars 4 on flash...hee..hee..hee......

Just call me Chris...
As above, nice vids.

Thats the beauty of 'el cheapo, you can afford to run one front and back
I don't know about potholes, look more like bomb craters to me

Excellent vids Fossy.

Makes you think. Looking behind you often is one thing, but if most of us could see what was happening behind us every second of our commutes, we'd be gibbering wrecks!

That first video also explains why you see a lot of drivers being further out at +5m in front of you than when they passed you
