I attended a 50th birthday party in Ripponden on 19th May. On returning to the car in the car park behind the hotel hosting the party I came across a partially deflated balloon with an LED unit powered by two small button batteries in it. I removed the unit and took it home to see how long the LED would remain illuminated.

It's still emitting light but only just.

I'm surprised.

My wife thinks that I'm mad/sad

Give it back it's freedom!
Fit new batteries and get a nice helium balloon and send it on it's way one night

If "the unit" comprises three AG13 batteries & only the one LED, its safe to say it will still be working in around a months time.
