Just keeping up with the Ras, which is one of my favourite mid-level races - a proper old fashioned race for hard men. Two of my ex-clubmates are riding this year: James Moss and Peter Hawkins, and Pete was 7th on day one. There's a live feed here:

...and Mossy just got third today in the second stage, from a break that just managed to stay away. Well done!

Well, it starts to get real tomorrow with Stage 5 which is one of those evil up-and-down routes that you find all over the west coasts of Ireland and Scotland.

In terms of the guys I'm watching, James Moss is 3rd overall with the same time as the leader, and Peter Hawkins is 14th, only 26 seconds off the pace. I'm betting he'll go on the attack at some point in the next couple of days though.

And Pete finished 13th overall, in the end, only 44 seconds adrift, and one place behind his (replacement) team leader, Wouter Sybrandy - the original IG Sigma Sport team leader, Dan Craven, had crashed out on the 3rd stage. Mossy finished some way down after losing time in the hills.
