From todays Hereld...

Thousands more children are walking or cycling to school after the government spent millions of pounds promoting "active" forms of transport, a report published today reveals.

In the first comprehensive survey of how children make their way to school, the sustainable transport charity Sustrans found that just over half choose walking, cycling and riding a scooter, marginally higher than those who travel by bus, car or taxi.

This has been achieved after allocating just 1% of the annual Scottish transport budget, now if we can get it up to 5%, we can end the school run...

Just tell the Daily Mail to run an article on how cars cause cancer and there'll be no more school run.:sun:

Anything that get them out cycling has to be a good thing, of course as soon as they hit 17 they will still want to get a car to be one up on their friends...
