Hee..hee....

We've had a fair amount up in Sth Mcr/Pennine boarders...

Stayed out of the car......until a bit later on in the day (over the last few days).

My 'new tyres as last January' have hardly any use - under 2k, and they grip really well in snow despite being wide...., that and a heavy FWD saloon....

Light weight cars, RWD and wide/fat tyres are useless.....

Schucks! I've been out today, in a RWD - a 1972 Beetle! Took a bit of starting, must have been really cold last night. Battery new last week. Started yesterday no problems, despite not having been used for 5 days. I wish it would go away. The minute you change direction - you don't!

I reckon it is a case that single brain cells don't work so well in cold weather.

I've only had wheel spin twice, once reversing into my drive over a pot hole and then just for the fun of it with the hand brake on to see when the break away point of the tyres would occur.

Saw one 4WD slide at a corner not realising that lying snow = slow down. However everyone after that was very cautious and sensible.

However road is clear now in my next of the woods.
