This makes less sense than some of these questionnaires from students researching a new way of locking up a bike.
I own two coats, and a pac-a-mac-type thing. It is a rare occasion indeed that I wear any of them. Most of the time I'm just in a t-shirt, even if it's raining, or I may put on a fleece if it's cold and raining, but for me cold is most other peoples' freezing, which in turn is the wife's absolute zero - but that's for another thread.

Truthful answers:
a) I don't wear/own a 'coat'
b) Best cycling waterproof (which is not used for cycling) gets hung up till dry, and then put away till next needed.
c) Cycling waterproof #2 (only used for night riding) gets hung up till dry, and then put away till next needed.
d) Cycling waterproof #3 (only used for dog walking) gets hung up till dry, and then put away till next needed.
e) Dog walking fleece gets put over the back of the big chair in the back room til tomorrow.
f) Work fleece gets hung over door of wardrobe, til tomorrow.
g) Hill-walking fleece gets dried and put away in 'outdoor stuff' wardrobe.
See? Life is never that simple that 'I stick my coat on a hook' is still a valid question in this modern, go-getting world of excitement.

No bannister to hang it on.
I don't live in a bungalow, there's too much clutter on the floor to find my coat under, ditto for the chair and cupboard, so the coat hangers in the back entrance hall is the place for me.
