New phone.
I set finger print recognition and it (did) work well.
Yesterday I fitted a screen protector. This is the solid, glass type protector as against the flimsy flexible type.
Anyway, fingerprint recognition stopped working. The outline is still there but when I try it tells me it's not recognised.
Facial recognition still works fine and I can key my password number in so no problem.
I'm just wondering if this is a recognised problem ?
Thanks.
EDIT
I've just found an article that tells me it is a recognised problem.
I will leave this out in case it helps others.

Try resetting the fingerprint??

well not the actual fingerprint - that might hurt

but reset the recognition - the screen might change how the rather rubbish system sees it just enough to stop it working

or so much that it just won;t work

iPhone has a little indent at the bottom of the screen & Androids work off of the side. button. AFAIK.

Must admit I was sceptical about the usefulness when I got my first phone that had fingerprint recognition, but once I started using it, I was a convert.

Our android phones (Samsung) use fingerprint recognition at the bottom of the screen.

I won’t use any biometric access functions because the key (my face or fingerprint) is freely available to anyone.

My Pixel 9 phone is the first one I used it on and whilst it was great at first the second or third month it started being temperamental and I just reset it and also added other fingers too. I find that this is needed every few months to keep it working. Same with facial recognition too.

My laptop fingerprint reader is more temperamental than my phone. It randomly works and fails so this resetting does not really work for it. I can use it ten times in the morning then first time in the afternoon it just fails. Then it'll work again later.
