as is assuming Dunblane has anything to do with his personality
Not assumed - fact, I'm affraid.
He still has family there and is guilty at having had such success, because so many of his friends brothers and sisters had that opertunity taken away from them.
Thomas Hamilton(the killer) was a one time family friend/associate of the Murray's.
This may explain his apparent reluctance to talk to the media - lot's of kids play tennis in Dunblane - how many have worldwide fame thrust upon them.
Dunblane is a small insular town/village that doesn't have this type of thing happen regularilly - it must be very difficult to deal with. It is famous worldwide for two things, one of them is Andy Murray, the other is the unfortunate school incident.
I have it on good authority that Murray's personality(that was being attacked here) is completely different in private to the one he feels he "has to" portray to the media.
