In many cases there aren't enough remains to require a coffin. I suspect the local carpenter is kept busy for the people who don't end up as shark food, so a carpenter's shop may be an interesting if highly dangerous new piece of scenery.
Maybe a saw mill out the back.
Log pile that could collapse on top of someone. By fault or design.

In a sawmill on Ascension, the log pile is probably the least dangerous part of the operation...

What'll the tanker be carrying?
No need for bright colours if it's not food products.

Having thought about it a bit, I'm wondering if that should be rather vague; I'm trying to avoid having too many "Ascension specific" vehicles for reasons which will become clear in future. On reflection probably a blue or green cab and a grey tank would be best.

Paper strips a little over a mm wide, in a suitable colour.

Paper would be a bit delicate, and hard to get the "sag" of those straps. I suppose thin plastic sheet may be effective, say two strips of 0.3mm laminated to hold the saggy curve.

However, I've got quite enough on the stupidly long "make things" list as it is without adding any more...

Elastic bands? Thin strips of leather? String soaked in glue?

The string would have to be fine sewing thread, and real leather would be too thick.
Paper would pass on thickness, but would require staining with tea/coffee to get a decent match, colour wise, then dried out.

I think the easiest would be plastic card, 0.3mm thick: make the basic shape with appropriate finger prodding to get the belt to "sag" as per pictures, then add a second layer, gluing it to the formed first layer: this will cause the two to laminate and hold their shape. It would need to be ca 0.5mm oversize on each side so you can sand down the sides and get rid of any "layers" visible, and then I could...

Shutupshutupshutp: I do not need another project...

With hindsight, a time where I’m rather busy at work and starting several projects at home, was not the best time to start a rather complex new model building. However, the “Hotel Havana” has been on my to-do list for nearly a year now, so I decided to start work and see how far I got.

Well, that’s how far: the wall and window spaces are cut, roughly, and I’ve printed some not entirely appropriate windows out ready for construction, and I’ve started to work out how on earth I’m going to make all the complex twiddly bits from the original, while seriously questioning my decisions thus far.

With no real end in sight to all the life related busyness, this one may have to take a back seat in favour of some more simple projects for a while.
