I saw that, its a road I regularly cycled when I lived in Edinburgh and its hard to imagine a fatal RTA on

Cycled that road many times. Very fast road but pretty wide and good visibility.

Recall another cyclist getting killed at the kirkliston end a year or so ago

RIP

Saw it on FB.
Rode that bit several times myself, as you say, it is hard to visualize where it could have happened.
RIP unknown cyclist.

79 - I hope to still be cycling at that age, such a shame his life ended in this way.

There have been a few fatalities recently reported on here.

There is a protest ride in London tonight at 18:30 (Russell Square) following three deaths in three weeks.
I cannot make it due to work, but would go if I could.

Do you have similar in Scotland to the LCC down here?

I remember reading this a while ago (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environme.../21/safe-cycling-campaign-scottish-parliament), but being in London alot of the campaigns are London centric and it would be good to know what is going on in other parts of the country

RIP
