The nuts are well worth their current price and probably more to some who needs them to complete an authentic restoration of a vintage bike.

I'll never contemplate using wing nuts on a bike having seen a picture of a young rider with a bike wheel attached to his head by a wing nut that had pierced his skull during an off.

I'd like to say I wish I could find a link to a picture but I feel queasy recalling the image in my mind's eye. The image was in a paper based pre-internet publication.
