Those of you that have followed my previous enquiries know that my computer skills are South of dismal! So, replies for an idiot, please!
I have an Android tablet.

I have installed an SD card.

I wish to transfer files from Dropbox and Mydrive to said card.

How?

Thank you.

Very simply.....
However you access files from Dropbox and My Drive (you mean Google Drive?)- app or web browser- you will have a download option. Choose your desired location on the SD card. Done. Robert is your father's brother.

Thanks, Stu. You under estimate my moronity!

I go to Google drive or Dropbox but there is no obvious thing to press that allows me to transfer to the card.

At least my poser is taking your mind off of your foot !

Right click on a file in Google drive and Download comes up as an option.

I couldn't work out how to select all the files prior to right clicking/ however it should be possible with a little more experimentation.

It's not that complicated, honest....well, it shouldn't be...but it's definitely easier on a desktop. Might be an idea to mount the SD card on a PC/Mac and move them that way. Alternatively, get a file manager app on the phone (I use ASTRO File Manager) which will connect to both Google Drive and Dropbox and will let you browse the files you have on those services and get them locally.

With the Google Drive app, OTOH, it is not as clear as it should be (I've just tried it). Individual files, you can make them 'available offline' (download, basically, so why not call it that Google....?), but no way of doing it with folders, it seems.

This is what Google says:
"To move your files you need to tap the "Quick Action" button, hit More, Export, and then Save to Device. Then choose your SD card.Dropbox cautions there may be another step if your SD card doesn't show up: choose the Save to option, then hit Settings and Display Advanced Devices."

Good luck in finding a right click option on a tablet unless you have a mouse attached to it.

Your Granddaughter will be your best bet :okay:
