Right.....crunch time.
Looked at a couple of claims companies. Cheap one gave me no confidence and the better one wanted 35% plus vat.
After 50 years marriage there are 5 banks/mortgage companies that I have dealt with.
The bank is easy as I have a branch near by.
But.......for the others.........a) is there a standard form of letter b) who would I address it to ie MD ?
I have googled this but with no real success.
Thanks

Just google bank name + ppi claim, avoiding 3rd party unofficial sites

Eg https://www.barclays.co.uk/help/ppi-information/how-do-i-make-ppi-complaint/

You need to know what sort of account and approx when
Thanks.
Not too easy as some of my early mortgages were 40 years ago. Two of them dont exist as they were swallowed up by larger groups.
Thats why I was going to try a claims specialist.
I might sort the more obvious one first then (if possible) use a claims company for the difficult ones.

PPI may not even have existed let alone been missold 40 years ago!! I had PPI 20+ years ago on a credit card, not missold, they had a copy of the form I signed agreeing to it. However I’ve just been refunded a couple of hundred as the commission was excessive, most of the refund is interest!

It’s not guaranteed that you ever had PPI!
