Hmmmmm its on OK ish . I guess buying tape with writing on it wasn't the greatest idea as you want the writing to line up . No chance of that ! Also trying to get the tops angled in opposite directions is a no go . I guess you have to start one bar at the drops and one on the tops but then wouldn't the drops be going in the wrong direction aswell ?
You also don't get a lot of tape for your money !
It's easy, take your time. Remember to pull the tape tight (but not too tight) use the figure of 8 method around the brakes and you don't need to use the extra bits of tape supplied.
preferable to go from bottom to top and secure at the top with electrical tape. If you go from top to bottom it looks neater as don't need electrical tape coz you just push the excess into the ends of the bar and secure with the plug but, over time, the bar tape can slip with the pressure of your hands on it bcoz of the direction it overlaps.
i did it first time no prob and I'm a GIRL so if i can do it I'm sure you can! LOL
I had to rewrap my bars for the first time after upgrading my shifters and put the task off for a couple of days due to fear of trashing new rolls of Lizard Skins.
Finally got round to it last weekend when I could give myself plenty of time.
As has been said wrap from bottom to top on both sides, wrapping away from the frame to give a mirror image, keep a firm, even pressure (don't stretch).
If you take your time it's a relatively easy job to do and I was extremely happy with how mine looked when done.
