My Archos 404 (MP4 recorder/player/helmet camera rocorder thingy) came with a li-po battery in it. However, these batteries (the ones in the 404) apparently had a tendency to die and at the same time swell in size. Mine has done just that, and I have just replaced it. However, I now have a very swollen li-po battery to dispose of.
I've read some stuff on the net suggesting putting it in salt water baths to discharge it etc. Does anyone know the truth of what I should do with this battery. I know if it still has charge in it, which it will, that if pierced or shorted it can explode.
So at the moment the ends of the wires are taped with insulating tape.
Any advice?
