Hic!!!
Great night- started well, tuned in to a v. faint Radio Wales down on the allotment for the Cardiff game, knew it might be our night when crackly Radio Wales gave up on Cardiff City when 3-0 down at half time and covered cricket instead for the 2nd half!

Can't believe we've done it- so proud of Norfolk tonight!
OTBC!

2012/13 B&HA v Norwich in the Prem......can't wait

Why the hell are you happy about getting into the premiership?

It's a shithole, you have to get yourself in massive debt just to try and avoid relegation, you lose most of your games after the initial euphoria has worn off and end up facing bankruptcy when the inevitable happens and you go back down after a season or two.

Much better to finish third in the Championship and heroically lose the play off final after a nice day out at Wembley. Then look forward to another season of winning most matches, being able to actually afford to go and see them and repeating the process over and over again, waiting for the day when the big clubs go bust because rich foreigners have found something else to spend their money on and you can push for promotion knowing you can compete in the top tier.

Come on SJ - keep our pecker up. You have some good times since your last promotion - I think you've been shafted by the board.

The team of Pardew that came up in 2005 finished 9th and should have won the cup.

And it was a great side to watch. I liked it (although you'd nicked our best players, Green and Ashton) - it was a good young team, with guys like Reo-Coker as the captain (aged 21 I think). I thought if they had kept together and grown you could have become Premiership regulars.

Instead, the Iceland biscuit man ruined Pardew's team by signing the Argies illegally, and you've never really been the same since. Curbishley should have been kept at all costs after finishing 10th in 2008.

West Ham are a Prem club though - you'll be back next year.

Fancy getting promotion just to avoid playing us next year MM!

I was looking forward to checking out your new ground actually.

When does it open?

Good to see Saints go up - 3 South Coast teams in the Championship next year!

We're not actually down yet, two wins may well be enough to save us though we are favourites for the drop. I'm not too sure about the club's ability to go back up next year or in the foreseeable future, half the team will be off in the summer because the wage bill is way too high for a Championship income. The spectre of Leeds, Notts Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are there to haunt everyone struggling for top division survival, two fixtures among the elite for many a decade having to spend an extended period down among the stiffs, probably terminally in the case of Wednesday.

It's tough when you fall from the top.

Nah - you'll be fine. (As you say - you may still stay up hopefully)

Forest/Leeds/Southampton et al didn't worry Norwich - we didn't even spend much money.

What you need is a decent manager. Because of the parachute payments a lot of decent players often stay at a relegated club at least for a year. If Scott Parker/Mark Noble/Rob Green etc stay - and you get rid of Grant (Curbishley is out of work and who you need!) you'll be far to good for the Championship.

As a Norwich fan - QPR are multimillionaires and effectively in a different league and will be in the Prem anyway.

Cardiff had all the stars - a free loan of Bellamy/Bothroyd - an England International etc.

When it came down to it, they bottled it again - and that has to have a lot to do with the manager.

Norwich bought a few players from leagues 1 and 2, but play as a team, kept their cool and have gone up.

Apart from QPR who are mega rich, and promoted anyway, the Championship is not that great as far as my experience is concerned. Norwich breezed through it without much difficulty or spending.

The standard of football is not that great, and the promoted teams (Brighton, Southampton and a play off team) will not be as good as Norwich/Leeds/Millwall this year.
